Really great groove, great head-bopping feeling, very sunny feeling, west coast vibe sorta.  You know what it makes me think about, that great Dennis Wilson album "Pacific Ocean Blue" which was a masterpiece, really.  And this would fit perfectly on that album.  I have listened to this 4 times now, I wanted to get a good listen before commenting, I love it more and more each listen, I get a lump in my throat sorta feeling from this for some reason.  It feels like there is a deep meaning lurking behind the sunny outer feeling here.

Ah this 'Void'

Your drumming is sublime. The whole thing is music.

Thanks, BB!  It's odd, because I picture this as more of a dark tune, rather than sunny and beach-y.  Many of the chords are minor; I'm singing a lot lower than I normally do in most parts; even the overall mix is dark rather than bright.  Never heard the Dennis Wilson album, but I'll have to check it out!  Anyway, your compliments are always appreciated, and I take them to heart.  THANKS! ;D

Thanks, Flash! :)

To your average listener, the difference between and polished and raw tune is negligible.  I hope you explore more of this down and dirty approach (at least for you) in the future.

I find your drums to be a strength in this tune.  First of all, they sound a little more present, but I really like the groove in the opening.  I really like the rests in the chorus as well.

The sparse piano outro is also a plus.

Nice job.

Thanks, Bloob!  Any and all compliments from you are welcome, inspiring, and encouraging!  I have more Void tunes and I may throw them up here eventually.  Some are even totally unfinished, but F it. ;D

Well, after reading all the posts, i don't really think old Deafdog here is qualified to comment. The song itself seems good but i couldn't make out any of the lyrics at all and for me the drums were mixed on top (louder) than everything else. I liked the changes..the dynamics of it...and your "awful" vox weren't awful...in fact i thought they kinda carried the song. I heard a tinkling piano but almost no guitar. I'll re-listen with headphones later. Nothing like a half deaf guy commenting on a musical composition...but you asked me to stop by and i'm just sharing my listening experience.
I think a Bosko re-mix on this would help the song reach it's full potential.

Thanks, Pinedog!  I know you like your vox out front in the mix, and maybe I'll remix this one someday.  I'll admit that I mixed the guitar a little low because it had some flaws and time was short.  As I said, one take for everything. :)
