This is the jazz standard But Beautiful.  I used my Aria L5 copy and the drums came from my Alesis SR-18.
I took the head as a chord solo in itself but I think I may have recorded the guitar a bit high as it distorts - a tiny bit - in places.

What can I do to rectify this; if the initial signal is too loud and I still want to keep the take?  Compression didn't seem to help.

Anyway, enjoy, please.
Cheers, Harry

Pretty tune, nicely played, Harry. I love the style. Nice mix of chords, lines, and octaves. Great tone on your guitar. Reminds me of Kenny Burrell.

If the guitar is a little hot, try lowering the volume on the guitar, and increasing the input level on the BR-900 to compensate. I usually don't mess with the sensitivity controls, but perhaps turning it down might help. Haven't tried that for a hot signal, but it might be worth a try.

Good work!

There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Very good tune!  nothing like jamming on jazz chord progresions!  I ended up doing just what Frank sugested and lower my guitar volume - it definetly helped with my 12 string...  Except you already recorded it!  I would most definetly turn the bass up higher - but that is just a personal preference, in particular with jazz.

I can live with being compared to Kenny Burrel!
Perhaps my next tune should be "Dreamer" lol
I did a remaster on the tune which I hope to get around to posting soon.  This time I used the presets in the Master effects.  Orchestra I think it was.  This tidied everythig up.
Gotta stop thinking I know better than the manual.  It never even occurred to me that the Boss people might have got it right and that there was no need to edit the presets!

I'm not big into jazz, but this is great. Excellent job here, you should make sure Mr2Cool hears this, he is a big jazz man. You might want to PM him.

many thanks to the "Mad Hatter".

i don't get around to the other boards much and would have never guessed that there are other "Jazzers" out here. excellent effort and done in the style of Kenny Burrell with a hint of Wes Montgomery. absolutly loved it, Harry.

the "Cool" Jazz era is my favorite and what i am trying achieve with the Mr2Cool Quartet. Fusion runs a close second place.
