Probie

Not P J Proby the trouser-splitting sixties crooner, but a newbie who rocks up here with studio-perfect, professional tracks that put the rest of us bedroom strummers to shame, lol.

Hence: pro-level + newbie = probie

Probies are usually characterized by a tentative modesty, even though they know they're shit hot!

Grimpse

An amalgamation of grim and glimpse. i.e. that grim, unexpected glimpse you catch of your own reflection in the MBR's mirrored surface. You know the one... your own ugly mug looming large, hairy nostrils and all.

As in...

"I caught a right grimpse of myself in the MBR last night!"

Well, it scares me from time to time....
