I had a hoot doing this and I know that it's not very good. I just felt like blasting out some chords and making a huge din. Should cause a laugh with the real electric guitarists here! I think at 49, I should just be watching 'Casualty' and having another G & T...

Dirty, dirty, dirty but also very melodic and tuneful.  Very nice din here.

Just like BB said - I thought this was a lot of fun to listen to. Way to blow off some steam - You have quite a range in music!!

Wow! you really let rip on this one!!!! I can hear the Black Sabbath 'Paranoid' riff in there, but then it goes off somewhere else. Very nice, melodic aggression. Top work!!!!!

lexman

Greeny,

Your right sound indeed as paranoid's riff.
Nevertheless, sounds good.

Ted

I loved this.

David Lowery (of Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven) is 49.  Here's a quote from a recent interview.

QuoteIn general there's an arc, or gravitational pull, in rock music and as you get older the arc wants to bend towards being softer and introspective. ... Overall it's really my mission to resist that and remain immature on some level. Maturity is the enemy of the rock musician.

U didnt hold back man! For some reason this conjured up images of recent US punk indie bands to me, eg blink 182 and green day.......liked it......dont let your age put you off. Good guitar work.

LOL I never know what to think when you post.  Almost anything. Great!!

How utterly true!!!! We are 'mature' when we are in control of our emotions and don't have fits of rage or passion. (This is very much like my 'born again' brother who is apparently unmoved by the sight of a beautiful girl). I'm the opposite. I get angry, excited, tense, childish, joyful and miserable. That's what comes out in music, isn't it? Not stability and acceptance.

Thanks Wiley, too. I love your voice!
