I wrote this song when I was about 14! I enjoyed doing it again more than three decades later!. I went to the car park to do the lyrics and a cop car went by whilst I was shouting....er, 'singing' into my machine. I think I'm going to be arrested one day!

Oh yes he does!!
I think he moved the ending a bit too, 'cause it doesn't sound all that planned ;)
My musical history started around the same time as yours it seems. I was heavily into the UK punk scene between 1977-80. And started playing soon after.

Good song for a 14 year old. Much better than I managed ... And I was older too!!

I've really got to get into this car park singing scene. It's one way I could get songs done without annoying the wife. Just got to avoid the local dogging haunts, !!or I could really get into trouble :D

'planned'?.... What's that? ....It sounds a bit technical to me! Did you mean 'panned'?

I recommend the car park scene!....If I can sing a song whilst watching a couple go at it, I call that a bonus.

You should sing in the car more often - like this a lot!!
I didn't write anything as cool as this when I was 14...

Wow !!  You are always so funny when you do your Punk!!  I could see you getting arrested.  I get laughed at a lot while singing in the box.  They don't hear the music. LOL  Great fun!!

Love that punk sound and the simple cynicism of a 14 year old. Like PJ (and partly because I am an old punk), I enjoy your punky stuff as well. Like you, I sit in my car to do my vocals, altho I stay in my garage.

Got any more classics from your youth?

Cheers,

Nigel

I can't work out how to do that blue, high-lighted quote thing....but thanks Nigel, I think I'm going to have some fun trawling through my 'back catalogue'. I think your early stuff is sometimes quite good because you are young and naive and don't try too hard. Less is more etc....I've got stacks of old stuff that I can still remember.
