I had a few compilation LPs, Goofy Greats, Fonzie's Favorites and the sort before (and Kiss albums) but this was my first 45 - age 11.

I remember buying God Save the Queen by the Pistols and Remote Control by the Clash in '77 and I'd love to claim one of those as my first, but I remember buying my first 7" - Dance With The Devil by Cosy Powell in about '71 (I was 6).  There were also some Wombles and James Bond theme 7"s in the intervening years too.  And a Gary Glitter album.

I love that track

She's married to Lou Reed, so I guess that constitutes a 'duo'.

Still one of my favourite songs of all time, it's right up there in the 'songs that shaped me' list. In fact, the 'Big Science' album is great. One I come back to time and time again.

I still have that album. That's nothing to boast about, but I've done it before.

Weirdly, I started with tape cassettes and listening to my parents vinyl. The only 45rpm single I ever bought was 'When a Child is Born' by Johnny Mathis for my 'girlfriend' when I was 6 or 7, lol. She got me a torch.

I have since bought every Kate Bush recording on vinyl though :-)
