This is BEAUTIFULLY done. Perfect guitar and sublime vocals. I did this one with Ronniejm a while back, and it's one of the hardest vocals ever (Sir Paul is a friggin' genius after all). I must have done 30 takes trying to get it right. So I take my hat off to you for doing this so well and so natural-sounding. You've made this one your own. What a keeper!

This sounds so good!  It really helped a lot production-wise to double track the guitars. (and being able to play the song through the same way twice helps a lot too!)  The quality of your voice really fits the song.  Nice job!

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Well...
this is just fantastic!
Paul Mcartney would definatly shake your hand if he heard this!

i really like the way you have added in the birds, it makes alot of difference...

Whatever happened to sex, drugs and rock'n'roll? Now we just have aids, crack and techno..

Facemask, this is only the 3rd song I've heard from you, and already I am a huge fan.  I mean a HUGE fucking fan.  Where did you come from?  1968?  Your voice kills me, how perfect it is.  And the finger picking (done TWICE through) is just ridiculous.

You're just too much, Facemask.  Too much.

I originally had hoped you would listen to my stuff in the old 1600 room and wanted to hear your opinion, but now, forget it.  You'd just laugh at my half-assedness on vocals and guitar.

Another amazing performance. ;D

Really nice. Where did the tweeting come from?Really nice.

QuoteDo you play and sing this at the same time? If so - jolly well done!
Thanks for the nice comments everyone , saw Sir Paul do this one live once and allways wanted to do it if i could------------the tapping came from using my finger to tap on an  empty tub of face cream that my wife had discarded , the birdsong came from freesound , a website that somebody else mentioned a while ago , i usualy sing and play this at the same time , but this time i wanted to thicken the sound a bit , i played the guitar part twice , i found the subtle difference between the two takes is better than copying one take to another track! , if there is another way please let me know ,thanks
