I figured I would post a song I wrote and did on my Boss BR-900CD.  Everything was recorded straight on to this thing..all guitars and all sounds.

Wonderfully cathartic!

Would I be mistaken if I heard some Pink Floyd influence?

Wow, thanks a lot guys.  For the most part I haven't gotten such great reviews on most of my music so this is new to me  ;D   I still have to clean up my vocals in this piece, but I appreciate the feedback.

The Pink Floyd vibe is certainly an influence there.  I'm into the dark mellow rock vibe though....kind of like Superunknown album by Soundgarden.

Thanks,
Nick

I don't know diddly about Soundgarden.  Would Superunknown be a good place to start an investigation?

Yeah, I would say so.  It was certainly their 'mainstream' album.  You can just youtube a lot of songs off of that album that they made videos for...Black Hole Sun, Spoonman, The Day I Tried To Live, My Wave, and lots of other goodies.  I have all their CD's, but I'm a Soundgarden fanatic.

Good song, I can definitely hear the influence.
"Black hole sun" and "outshined" are my 2 favorite songs of theirs. I'm an absolute newbie, so I probably won't say this right, but when you switched to screaming the vocals, you were locked in and sounded amazingly good. Keep up the good work.

Excellent song, good guitar work and recording. Though there are a couple rough spots, I like what you've done with the vocal; the changes between the verses and chorus. Holds your interest. Great concept, well done.

There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Good album, but Down on the Upside was a gem...
