I was thinking the same thing :D Glad it rocked a little... wait.... a LOT more!

Only got a chance to hear the dirty version and not the clean, but I liked it a lot. Very cool arrangement.

Covers dont need attention to detail, just do it your way. Two different takes on this song so far, both different, both brilliant. Hell, I may drag the acoustic out tomorrow and do my (comparatively) pathetic fingerpicked version. Go for it!!!!!
I was going to suggest checking out Canned Heat T. Right up your grungier side.  Easy stuff for you I bet.

I'm loving the guitar on this - it's got a dirty T-Rex / Bolan boogie going on, and that pulsing, primal bass is just great. You noisy, romantic devil!!!!!
