Steve! You can't just leave it at that! This needs full track treatment. I like the twist you've given this. Needs some punky 'Do the Hustle' vox too.

LOL, love it Steve! This actually works really well and is a great riff, with the punky guitars it sounds good. Do the whole thing and add some vox, it would sound great.

I used to play in a pop punk band and we used to do punked up covers of a lot of rock songs (like Sweet Caroline) at about 100mph, much to the bemusement of any heavy rockers in the audience. I guess we spent too much time listening to these guys:

Yep---- you're definitely back!!! Going to finish it???
I always say, if I can leave somebody happy and smiling at the end of the day-----I've completely f*cked up!!

Might do mate, just watched it on Youtube (And I got embarrassingly close without listening first  :-\) and it is just the same two basic parts repeating a lot, so would not take long to build a backer. Main theme is basic too. Nice easy project to get me going again maybe.

Loved it! :D

Regarding the original song, if you lived through those times it was hard to forget...like it or not.  ;)

I'll have to take your word for that, SteveG...I wasn't in my teens yet! ;) I had my own radio, though and after Saturday Night Fever hit, this genre played non-stop on it.

Old disco tunes such as 'The Hustle' need to be updated and refurbished like this - they have languished too long in the dustbins of musical history!  :D
