guitar volume too low

Curious if youve tried another guitar and/or cable?
Some cables have too much resistance, not such a bad thing if youve got REALLY hot pickups(like humbuckers)...but not good if youve got low output pups(great for cleans).
Also, Im curious about another guitar as maybe your pup heights arent high enough?
Another guitar would really be a good indicator for this...before attacking your pups with a screw driver.

Just trying to help you rule out possible causes...as everything else reads right.
