I think Clowns represent all that is wrong in a person's psyche....

As in the extravert in them only surfaces once a shield of make-up is applied....
The disguise......

The extenuation of natural attributes, to compensate for a lack of natural self........

Their orientation towards children as the adult world is too much for them.........etc......

They are just creepy.......

This is why we use the clown them to represent uncomfortable states of being and mind... Because they aren't bloody right!!!

I agree with all the comments suggesting that this is one of your best songs to date. It just works. And it's incredible how you've jumped from instrumentals to great vocal performances in such a short space of time.
