I'm old enough to be JHX's Grandad, and he's given ME depression!!

JHX - A lovely rendition indeed, played with panache. Well done.
Just as an aside, have you heard the Clapton version?
Some say it's too showy, but I've never thought that.

Simply Fantastic... I love the way you have made it your own and not tried to do a SRV, EC or Hendrix copy

Ojimi ==>  You are an amaizing player already...  @ your age I was happy to just be able to play "smoke in the water" w/out leads!  As Geir indicated this is not an easy song, and as 48 says, "you have made it your own" ---  Well played!!!  Did you use the Hagstrom?

Yes Diego it's all hagström on this, (it's my only electric guitar!)

You guys won't settle with that age thing now will you? ???
If you loose track over a chord progression, play as fast as you possibly can. Nobody will know. Thats how they invented bebop.

No!!!

My son Luis is the same way as you - it does not have anything to do with age -realy --- it is that some of us (Jerry Garcia agers) must have been not practicing as much as you!!!  Just comparing myself with you @ that stage of my life (and probably with the rest of those mentioning your age).  And the cool thing about other musicians I have met in the last 40 years have taught me a great deal even the ones a lot younger than me.  You have a very unique way of playing and getting cool sounds!  May want to try a strat-fender and run it via your tube-amp too, as a second guitar =>> may have to start a collection for $ in this forum to buy you one for your birthday ---  100 posts @ $5 ea + shipping and handling -hmmm

Bro

hm? Birthday ? You have until 30. august where i turn 15 ;D

Anyway, I'm getting a squire very cheap one of these days, a half-decent guitar as a matter of fact. And I'm replacing any parts that arn't any good, vibrato machine heads and maybe pickups. Hopefully it is going to be good, it's my first guitar project ever!

You'll have to be at least 17 before we stop picking at you :D :D

I'm blown away by this, and not because of your age - wicked playing to an awesome song!!!!

You rock!

Yeah, a squire is a good one --- can get some good hot-strat pickups later on...  I have just ordered me a set of new hot-strat pickups for my strat, plus I need to do some electrical work to it - just got it out of the packing box and had not played it for quite a while => playing way too much my 12.  Just got done w/ a blues myself - not quite finished with it, but will be psoting it to get some feedback.

Bro

I'm REALLY looking forward to playing with that guitar :)
