Yeah, the free inspection is nice, but I'm certainly not going to be caught playing any instrument that's under at least half a million. I have my standards! 

But in all seriousness, from the Sweetwater description, it sounds like the cost is all about the visuals and rarity of the guitar (as opposed to making any extravagant claims about the sound). And the "rings" top is rather visually striking. But at the same time, I find the Nazareth map pick guard rather cluttered-looking and, frankly, pretty ugly. To each their own, of course, and if some billionaire wants to pay Martin $300K for a showpiece art guitar, well, I suppose there are far more harmful ways that money could be spent than on a musical instrument.
