Been a while since we have done a Destination Insanity song but here we go.

Started off with a weird riff and it just kept building. I think I wanted to get out of "safe rock" zone and try something more experimental. So this fitted with some stuff myself and Stephen M have already done, so asked Steve to do the honours and do his thing with it.

It is a mind bender - easy listening is not in our repetoire. Anyhow, thanks Steve, this blew the cobwebs off and sure woke me up!!

It's better to die an innocent sheep

than be guilty of the work of the deadly wolf

trying to save his pride

You might want to break all ties with me

I am sold out to the light

I have made my decision to stand and fight.

Cuz my battle started on my knees.

Are you a pretender?

Just an underdog contender?

Will you just render?

Your work is due!

The time of trouble is just ahead,

and the darkest times we have faced yet.

But the warrior will stand by the grace of the

great I Am!

The spirits battle front where faith is won.

You ask who will win? It's already known. The question is

what side you are on.

And no one can answer that for you. No one determines

that except you.

It isn't flags, it isn't politics.

It's in the spiritual realm

our battle is won.

It isn't flags, it isn't politics.

It's in the spiritual realm

our battles are won.

You gotta seek the son.

You might want to break all ties with me

I am sold out to the light

I have made my decision I will kneel and fight.

You might want to break all ties with me

I am sold out to the light

I have made my decision I will kneel down and do my fighting.

And that is where the battle is won.

The battle is between your ears.

Look at Jericho. Look at Gideon.

Trust in the Lion. The deliverer will come.

He will roar.

Cool collaboration. I like that repeated riff.and the fx on the guitars. Its great the way it builds up. Love all the music.
Stephen brings that right kind of strangness with the lyrics and vocals. Love it.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

This is some heavy, deep rock! Mike you have definitely busted out of the "safe rock" mode with this one. Great guitar playing and Stephen's narration, singing and lyrics fit the song's attitude perfectly. Great collaboration guys...Destination Insanity lives on!

This is excellent.
I like the vocal style on this.
Almost a cars like vibe.
That guitar is great.
Also the drums rock.
Love the lead tone as well.
This is what I love about collabs they take you to another place.
Great collab.

I was thinking that Mike was sounding like Stephan but then I saw it was Stephan!
Great collab.  Strong music to equally strong lyrics and vocal delivery.
