Hi after such nice comments for my last attempt i thought i might try something else. This song is 4 tracks. the main guitar is my Guild Deco being picked then a bit of strumming on a second track. Once i'm more confident with bouncing i might put some backing vocals on. Anyway comments always welcome.

Hi just caught up with your stuff - welcome :)

I like the sounds you're making. I was a huge Jethro Tull fan when I was younger - this one touched some of the same chords in me as Ian Anderson's 70s stuff does.

I'll go and look for your other one :)

Geeeeez this is excellent.  Nice guitar work, really nice vocals, you have a very cool voice.  I don't hear the Jethro Tull so much ( I love Tull) just a really cool tom r acoustic song.  Great job!

This is really good - You set great mood and tone. Super guitar playing.

I think you mixed the 4 tracks well, so now it's time to:

Bounce! Bounce! Bounce! - Panned background vox would trick this excellent tune right out!!

Thanks everyone for the comments. It's all very encouraging. Yes i will have a play around with the BR and try some bouncing. I think i'm needing a couple of extra tracks just for a bit of backing vocals mainly

anyway thanks again

T!!! (Osckilo) You've got to hear Jethro Tull - might not grab you completely, but there will be something for you hiding in there. My favourite stuff is the 70s albums - Minstrel in the Gallery, Thick as Brick, Aqualung.

Tom r - I was a bit worried after I posted that JT reference, I wondered a) whether you'd know who they were, b) you might think they were cheesy old folk-prog-rockers :D

Sounds like it came across how I meant though :)

BB - it wasn't so much it sounded like JT, there was just this "shiver down the back of the neck" thing, and a certain mood was started by the music, and I thought "Jethro Tull used to make me feel like this" (and will again when I dig the CDs out later!!)

Great song Tom. Love that melody, and yes, I can hear some JT in that song too. Both in the melody and in that sharp electric lead that contrasts the mellow acoustic. Great performance.
