"It's Summertime" (original with Flash Harry on bass)

Here's a summersong for ya!!

Guitarpart and backing vox made and recorded in the hotel-room last week. Later that night I drove out of Oslo for half an hour and into the woods to not disturb my hotel-neighbors. Lyrics written and a first draft recorded there, also added a faint accoustic guitar. Added a guitarsolo when I got back (first take as I was kinda happy with the feel of it). Redid the vox a couple of days ago and Flash Harry was kind enough to add his brillialt melodic bass on it. Spendt last night producing it to death.

2 electric guitars
1 accoustic guitar
2 bacing vox
1 lead guitar
1 main vox ( on 2 tracks, 1 with excessive compression, thanx to AndyR)
2 drumsets (hard and 808)

Oooh and the lyrics  ..... when at my cabin during the summer I usually go for a morning-walk through the forrest, listening to the early birds and take a morning-bath in the ocean. The dragon(fly) I saw when writing the lyrics...

Such a great guitar sound. Driving, jangly and wonderful. Flash's bass touches at the bridge are superb, and then comes that incredible solo. This is (another!) great song, Geir. It finished a bit too fast for me though! I wanted more, more, more. So good, it made me greedy, lol.

Wow that sounds like a great mix. Much better than the track you sent me to overdub my bass, in fact its a differnt song altogether... are you sure it's the right one? I love it!

I love that lead guitar - sounds like something from the Screaming Cheetah Wheelies.

The AndyR trick worked great - the vox stand right out but blend in perfectly with the mix.

You have always been a pro with your MBR - love what you do with that thing!
