Some of you may already be aware of me here at Songcrafters. I have posted quite a few original and cover songs here.

I have in the past struggled with my mental health via Anxiety and Depression. It got so bad at one stage that i couldn't even leave my house without having someone with me. Without going into too much detail i was always in bands as a kid and always wrote poetry and my own songs. In the early 90's i was gigging regularly on what we would call the "circuit" and we were really beginning to break through, but then my young wife (25) was sadly struck down with cancer and died leaving behind a 6 month old son. To say i was devastated would be an understatement and i struggled with my mental health and had to step out of the limelight to raise my son.

I left the music scene behind and only played an old acoustic at home for nigh on 30 years and then during lockdown i discovered this site and it re ignited that passion in me and the results are all posted here.

i tried to also get in touch with the artists i knew around my time and sadly a few had passed on and a few were also eaten up by the whole "Scene"

I decided to document some of what i and many others would say were true artists. The ones that nearly made it but just couldn't hold on. I have made 6 full length Documentaries now and its a very rewarding process. I even wrote original music for some of these.

i have been posting versions of songs by these artists as i know some of you would really and do appreciate the music.

I post them here as although i don't post much i listen to so much of your music both original and covered works and i can honestly say that it was here that really changed my life and made such a positive change to my mental health and well being and i just wanted you ALL to know how grateful i am. I also hope that in some way giving the artists i cover some well deserved recognition and i am in some way giving back to this universe in a positive way just like all the positivity i was given here.

Here's one i have only recently finished and i hope you take some time to dip into something completely un backed by any budget or record company.

As with ALL my biographies they are made free of charge and using only free software. They are also distributed free for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you ALL

Excellent contribution Dan. These are lovingly done and it is sad to see the slow slide into darkness that can overcome so many people. The world is a very cruel and hard place and just being here can be a difficult thing for many. Poor mental health is such a massive issue and I can sympathise with anyone with difficulties. Crushing anxiety and panic attacks (when younger) have been my own speciality for a very long time!

This is a really good documentary and you have indeed put some good back into the world here.
