Just me and my mahogany Tanglewood acoustic in The Fox and Pelican pub last night (with a very special audience!).

I left my full thanks here:

Recorded on the Micro via the line in, straight from the mixing desk.

Pretty good, but doesn't quite do the live performance justice - vox sound a little dry and clipped compared to the real thing. But still not a bad recording and an excellent performance.

We were clapping, honest! You just can't hear us because this was taken off the desk and thus the vocal mike rather than an MBR in the audience.

Cheers (I certainly did),

Nigel

Another BR recording the extra 'ambience' would be interesting, but I don't know how / if you could synch the two together. Might be an interesting future experiment!

I agree - the recording is quite dry. I added a touch of reverb, but it still doesn't give the full live experience. I didn't want to tinker with it too much though - I quite like this raw, warts and all take on things. Nowhere to hide!!!!

Bloody Marvellous- this is one of my favourites and I love the raw live feel

First one for the "Greeny Live Album"

I am greatly impressed Tim.  What a great song to have picked.  I admire your ability to get out there and share your music with the world.  I am envious of your meeting up with those other characters, that would have been very cool for me.  Super job.

Wish I could have been there, too!! Long swim, though :D Glad you got to meet up with some of our forum friends. Now that's support!

I remember you saying something similar to "It's a good song if it holds up well live" You are backing up that statement well. A strong, strong performance.

And now I get to listen to two more!!

We need to all get together in one big real life, non-virtual sort of way.

This is inspirational Tim.
