Backstory-  I wrote this way back in 2006 using a cheap Casio Keyboard for all the instrumentation.  I wanted to post that here but the rules are no old recordings.  So, I totally remade it as recently as the past 2 weeks. As I was ready to record the vocal track I caught a nasty cold which toasted my vocal chords temporarily.  I was bummed out because I couldn't wait to finish it but it occurred to me if I couldn't sing it myself I could ask somebody else to.  Then the perfect person came to mind-Our own Nick Coward (aka Pipes).  I asked him and he agreed and did the most beautiful job.  He made it sound like a Shakespearian recitation!  I know most of you will enjoy this. Very simple chord progression. :)

Waking
The Morning sky
Ponder
a soft reply
The wind is warm and it sings to me
And plays a song of tranquility

Oneness
A chance to grow
Hapless
How can I know?
So many ways that I wonder why
those wasted days never made me try
I need to follow

A sound so sweet and you came to me
A thought.  A dream and you're there for me
while I follow

sure enough Nick is great and also very versatile in his leanings vocally and is able to conjure up great stuff with seeming ease...

this is a lovely track John.  I am glad you  made a new recording of this.  It is eloquent and I really love the flute as well as that piano... very very nice.

I do have an electric bass and guitar, i do have an acoustic guitar. I even have a keyboard and a Roland drum set What I seem to miss is skills. So to cure my at least 40y frustration I dicovered my instrument being my voice. So I finaly had the nerve to take singing lessons and make my voice heared thanks to Songcrafters.

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

Zoltan

This is wonderful! I'm glad you put your strenghts together.

There's an interesting touch with the production of this song. The drums are more 80s than i'm used to hear in JohnBee productions and there's more of that kind of ambience going on with this one. The sound isn't dated. It's more like ageless and big.

The strong melodies and great use of space are still there. Nothing is forced.

Well done guys!
