Help with external sony DS70P microhpone

Hi,

I'm going to try and record some guitar parts with my external sony ECM-DS7OP microphone but i don't know how. I select the input top LIN or MIC but i get nothing on the LIN selection and the built in mic on the MIC selection.

Any advice please?

select EXT for input and make sure the the "plugin power" is switched on-pg 114 in the manual

just what i wanted to know I got  sony mic like the website suggested but couldn't get power until I used the settings on page 114.  Thank YOU!!!!
