It's not really enjoyable to make music now... it takes a lot of time, it takes a lot of practice, you have to get really good at an instrument or really good at a piece of production software. I think the majority of people don't enjoy the majority of time they spend making music.

Wow, what an idiotic thing to say! What would he say about painting, independent film, writing a novel or any other medium? Clearly he's not a very creative person if he holds an opinion like that (a lot of Silicon Valley tech bros are like that).

On of my pet peeves is marketing pitches that say "you don't have to know" or "you don't have to learn." For example:

• "You don't have to know anything about web development to launch your store."
• "You don't have to learn investing strategies to grow your money."

This is a pet peeve because I know that that is an extremely appealing pitch to the many, many people who hate learning.

The proposition of Suno is "You don't have to learn how to play an instrument like a loser to make music."

There are some things that are worthwhile to learn, to invest effort, to scratch the surface, and deepen your understanding.
