Saw him in about 1975. Playing solo, a small venue at a local college with maybe ~ 200 people for abt 2 hours. Maybe 30 feet away and knew this was a 100% authentic folk guy who was part of the big deal happening in the '60s. He was a warm human, classic entertainer and it felt special.

Saw 'A Complete Unknown' last week and was unexpectedly brought almost to tears in the early part of the movie, revisiting that time in America. The Movement: The bright-eyed young folks up against the Establishment and the not-so-good old stuff. Peter was there and he was part of that. RIP Peter. Thank you and well played!

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

puff the magic dragon I loved as a small child... I could sing it then and I still could... at least enough to know the song anyway...

My parents had most of PP&M's albums so  they kinda grew on me.  I love their vocal harmonies.  Peter was an amazing tenor and with Noel Paul's strong but gentle baritone and Mary's lilting contralto (that lady had an awesome range) they were one of the best musical acts the 60's (and beyond) offered.  I miss them greatly.

Hey Des, this is a wonderful song and a great performance by you and your 8 year old son. Does your son still play the piano? A nice tribute to Peter Yarrow...R.I.P.
