They were a Canadian band. This song got tons of airplay on the rock stations, but I would call it alternative rock.

The Barenaked Ladies, The Tragically Hip and Our Lady Peace poppud up around this time as well

That damm stereo bouncing is doing my head in again :)

Very inventive and a great job adding the lyric, no matter the inspiration for them. Just bear in mind that you cant kill 'em all :(
