Christmas came early this year
When i found a stocking
I tried it on one early morning
When i felt like i was rocking
Red, green and little torn x4

CH
Dancing around the christmas tree
Just you and me

V2
Remember the last years snowball fight?
You threw one hard, we laughed we cried

CH

V3
Now i'm wearing your stocking(s)
I feel like i'm a superhero
I've worn them all the summer
They've become like the second skin!

CH

Etc.

Instruments used:
- Baby Grand Piano
- Wurlitzer
- Regular piano
- Jazz Drum Kit (turned into a "Motown" kit)
- Bass (Yamaha Tapewounds)
- Guitar (Jazzmaster)
- Several different shaker sounds
- Trombone, Bell, Conga and all kinds of little things.

Mixed with intentional limitations (bouncing down and committing every move, broad EQ moves), but i didn't go full LCR.

Oh no. My first scratch vocals might be better than the "real vocs" (which were my attempt at "soul" vocals).

The original vocs were a lot more understated.

Here's the version with the scratch vocals. They might even be slightly more in tune (!). I was going for a more understated/anemic sound with these.

A cool quickie Christmas song Zoltan. You have a lot of tracks for a quick one but they all blend well. I listened to both versions and I like your scratch vocal best. It sounds more relaxed and not forced. Sometimes the scratch track is the keeper. That's why I never delete them until I'm positive. Well done and Merry Christmas!

so much fun and yet so serious at the same time.  How do you do that?  Maybe because I know how  you are.

love the piano and the song flow... it has that feel from the 70's music but it isn't that.

love the hi hat as well.. it is making fun of me.

Elton John would turn this into a billion seller.

enjoy the ham as I am enjoying the ham doing this song!

This mix sounds very clean, I can hear everything very well. Good playing and mixing. I like your melody, too. And you had me smiling at that third verse.

Yes, I like the first vox one better as well. I had thought the vocals were a little low gain when it started but they came around nicely. Great job on a good vibe fun song! 8)

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Love it. This ticks the Christmas warm and fuzzy box. The lyrics are great, what we need at Christmas... fun. Just occurred to me, your fun approach to music is a bit like Justin Hawking of the Darkness. Very off the wall but always makes me smile 😊

cool track quite funky and veyr likeable, cool performance and groove, would work well as a non xmas song as has more of a rock bluesy feeling to it, enjoyed
