This one has taken a while to do.  It started off as a ballad then went off in a different direction.  A few key changes and time signatures/tempos to make it more challenging.

It is pushing 6 minutes so as usual I have had to export it at a low bitrate. I have put it on Soundcloud if you feel like listening at wav quality.

So choose

Is it nature nurture or destiny

That makes you what you are

Or the choices in life

that you have made so far

That twists your soul to argue

who you really are

Now Tell me who you are

I'm every choice I've ever made

Even when I've been afraid

Even when the choice was nothing but a charade

I've been the one alone

Discarded by the phone

Just to feel the the door a jar

To choose the candour or insincerity

Honesty or lies

Faithfullness or Philandery

The Truth holds nothing but a choice

Choices are everywhere

But some can harm

Choices are everywhere

And some to dis-harm

Choices are everywhere

They can make you who you are

They can make you who are

Come on decide

Do you love her or don't you ?

Do you need her?

Or don't you ?

Is it to go on black or red ?

Or should you just stop running?

Is it your thoughts oryour feelings, or your actions that decide your choices?

Be honest and don't lie

It could be the best choice you every make

I told you don't lie

Just make the choice

I once climbed a mountain just see how I high I could get

I wrestled a tiger who I believed could be my pet

I once jumped from a bridge breaking both of my legs

I had to make a choose between being brave or dead

Choices

everywhere

Choice,  to go either way

Choice

is everywhere it can go either way

It can maketh the man

Or tear him apart

Bring them together or blow them a part

The choices of should you stop or go

To choose  What is it you really want

To choose what you want to do

To climb that ladder or run free

Some people can't decide

their choices send them wild

They get confused

get lost

With choice

their in two minds

To choose  means

They must  decide

This is total progressive rock goodness...just the way I like it (ok I'm taking a break for some intent listening). The six minutes flew by so it's on to listen #2. Reg's excellent speaking voice and singing (not to offend) sounds totally American here. The change at 3:30 is super as is the lead solo that follows! Great music Paul, I dig the keys!!!!! You two do prog rock so well!

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Great collab, gents - very measured and yet with a sense of the theatrical to it.

Loved the strings, guitars, and vocals. Considering how much it must have been compressed to fit the limit, the uploaded mp3 sounds excellent.

Great production! Love those bass lines and guitar tones. Nice contrasting styles and moods to keep it moving. Rock opera status for sure! 8)

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Yeah its quite proggy, which is a good thing.

Some nice sounds and great production.

That line about being brave or dead made me smile :)

the bass guitar alone is worth the listen... then add in those clever keyboards and impressive vocals...
flavors Kansas or Rush... the music at least...

The change ups are inspired, just lots to keep the attention all the way through, six minutes did,nt seem too long. Great collaboration well done!!

So it's coming through absolutely great on my system here. Pumping it out on some old but good HiFi speakers connected to my iMac.

It sounds massive, majestic and yes those changes in tempo and feel throughout are brilliant. Yeah I get the theatrical comment by Cuthbert. It's a real extra string to the bow. I love the vocals / lyrics and theme, it stands alongside all that great music perfectly.

Great stuff lads.
