4 guitar tracks
1 shecter bass DI to board
1 Tama Imperialstar drum kit

I used my NightHawk guitar while experimenting in the Boss ME-25, while experimenting with the Firehawk pickup arrangement and vol and tone pot stuff... it is for sure a totally different guitar than anything I ever played... like any instrument it offers unique features...

this is weird how I came up with this... right now there is alot of real good energy here in the house and area... but the vibe is mingled with the vibe of the song title... you know all that report and stuff... crazy...

no apologies... this is crazy as hell...

I woke up today late because I went to bed late... no problems.. but I really wanted to start the day with guitar... so I did a rhythm guitar track that was clean... but effected...
then a lead guitar that kind of reminds me of violin at times.  Then I added drums and bass... then a second but distorted 2nd rhythm guitar.
a few hours later I came back and muted the other 3 guitars then recorded a different theme and progression with 3 chords... but playing to the drums and bass... then I mixed them all together on the Zoom L-20

this is the 3rd anniversary with the Zoom board... it has been a good device... a good working relationship.UFO'sUAP'sDrones (Instrumental).mp3

This is progressive as hell. Or is hell progressive at all? Isn't it a bit done deal. Perhaps this is just progressive? But how could that be just? Nothing Stephen does is just. Like That. I lost my train of thought. I better buy another ticket and hitch another ride.

I could imagine your vocals on top of this, but that wouldn't necessarily be pretty. I mean one would perhaps have to cross some murky waters to make that happen. But what am i now hearing? That borderline tremolo guitar. The kind of sound i could imagine a sloth making while he was being an*lly electrocuted and trying to claw his way back out from the guitars soundhole. It's kinda glorious and weird at the sametime.

I think sometimes these descriptions of sound can a be bit vague. Now it got a bit graphic. But there's more. That outro bass thing. That sounded more like a beginning. Did we end up listening to this song just to hear the beginning? Or is that the end?

I think i better just shut up for once. It was good. I enjoyed it a lot.

Help I'm being bombarded by UFOs and drones...big and small. One is the size of an SUV and it's emitting musical notes or is that a NightHawk doing the emitting? I should stop watching the news and listening to music at the same time. All kidding aside this is the 2nd cool proggish listen of this morning. I agree, in sections, the lead guitar does resemble a violin. The bass and drums move together from start to finish while keeping the beat steady. Creative stuff Stephen!

There are some great sounds on this.

I love the bass, its growly but perfectly rounded

I like that leslie'd/Chorused/Tremoloed guitar too

Yes, been trying to follow this whole drone thing and what is going on. Something is going on that's not normal and the public are entitled to know!

Anyhow... this sums up the atmosphere very well Steve. Thick wall of psych weirdness and that is good enough for me. Great guitar lines. Captivating!

I may investigate the Zoom board or a BR at some point.

Great stuff Steve.

I can actually visualize you looking out your window at night at all the mysterious drones currently hovering over the East Coast while composing playing this piece. But are the drones real, or are they a consequence of ingested substances and or imbibed liquids? Or spirit airlines flying all their planes to a boneyard? Regardless, it has led to some creative jamming!

Good to hear more space rock goodness from you Stephen! The singing lead guitar reminds of early CAN, and tribal sounding drums are a nice touch too. The leslie sounding rhythm guitar sounds so cool, a great a bit of atmosphere here!
