I had posted this one earlier, and after SteveB's comments went back and re-arrange my mono/stereos and ...  Anyway, I think I may redo this one and go for 4 minutes+/-.  It is a cool song to jam on.  Learning quite a bit - I had not been paying attention to what was coming out were - had my stereo full blast and could not hear right/left.  I few blurbs here/there, but it was fun putting it together...

They are my set of congas...  I'll be redoing the song and adding an extra full measure.  I noticed that I got a bit off timing in a few places - I think just knowing that I don't want to screw up, I think it tenses me up a bit --- plus the coffee does not help.  I had not played them for 7 months - just got them out of packing boxes.

It is a cool song to jam on as there are a lot of chord changes.

Thanks!!!

Diego

DA - Yeah. You've got the panning correct, but now the song isn't long enough!! Just love that fluid Jazz-feel. Confident playing by someone enjoying making music. Well done. I'll wait until you've decided on the final version, then I'll be downloading it to my BR-MP3 folder. Can't miss such a foot-tapper.

Cool Latin rhythm, Diego. The congas give it a great feel. smooth piece, and nice performance.

There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

I know what you mean w/ Latin Rythm - cannot get Carlos Santana out of my head(fingers) when I do these minor chord progressions and 7ths...  Before I moved to Alaska (Feb 2009) was working with this song on an arrangement with guitar and vibraphones with a friend of mine, and the song kept humming in my head!  Thanks for the compliment!!!

Thanks 48!!!  There aren't very many types of music that I do not like to play - for the most part I like it all...  Some I have not taken the time to even attempt!  This BR900 is a cool little machine --- I am a'thinking of taking it on the road, and do an entire gig with it - then can have various parts of songs already done and loaded on memory cards or the computer and using it as my back-up band - man, imagine 3 -5 Diego's playing a gig!?  And maybe even do at least one song were I record different parts and complete a song and instrumenstation on stage.  Listening to Greeny's songs (last night) after reading the posts about his last performance gave me the idea to tackle this = thanks Greeny!!!

Wow, this is awesome, Diego! ;D  I love the minor Bossanova/Jazz/Latin feel!  The Latin influence is obvious, but I can hear some Django Reinhardt in there too!

SWEET! ;D
