Possibly falling into the sentimental slush category but it popped into my head and I preferred it to the other song I was working on. (I might return to that soon...)

It was a tone higher when I started but I was having trouble singing it. I dropped it to G and then it sounded like another song I uploaded earlier this year  ::) . I think I've managed to get away from that enough now though ;D

Watching TV, as anyone would do
I saw a girl, she reminded me of you
A fleeting moment, a long time since I left behind
It was over before it could turn bad
I just remember the good times that we had
Those distant memories, come floating back into my mind

You once told me, you'd never feel this way
But being friends was more than just okay
I was still flying on the wings of a dove
And I know, I'm still in love
Oh no, I'm still in love

I realised soon, that we could never last
And it don't matter cos its all in the past
I moved on but you're someone that I can't forget
I wonder if you ever think of me
Dyou see a guy sometimes while watching your TV?
and if you did now, would our farewell be a regret?

But I know that, you'll never feel this way
And its alright now, I live from day to day
Is this hell, or sent from up above
I don't know but I'm still in love
Oh no, I'm still in love

Sentimental yes, but certainly not slushy :)

Lovely lyrical journey through and through.

Your voice captures it very nicely.

I hear what you are saying about sounding like another one... however I would say, unless you are making an album don't worry much about that.  If you make all your songs without any censorship of yourself then you could maybe pick your top 20 you like or something and put them in a folder or make an album or two with them...

this sounds great.  It is on the pop prog late 60's early 70's vibe... kind of going toward Moody Blues and that like territory... which is marvelous... guitar work on the lead reminds me of some of Asia's stuff... which I also love.

the song works real nice in my mind... a real nice listen and I definetely will hit replay

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

Nice little sentimental song, with some great lyrics, vocals and music.

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

sentimental slush:  a nice term for a library catalog... it could be a thing... slush is pretty heavy...

Excellent songwritng. Your vocals and lyrics are on the top shelf. It has a sort of 70's pop vibe to me...reminisent in the style of Badfinger or Eric Harmon. Your bass playing is real good and the slide guitar solo was a great production choice. Well done!
