Well i carried on strumming and another popped out this one is for my 7000th post sad i know...i really should do more in the garden
Mary she knew
What she had to do
As she skip through the clouds
She thought love was true
She knew what it looked like
Thought she knew what it would be like
How  s he'd feel when that true love would strike
Reality was her heart would burn and bleed
And she would fall and fall

Her Life went black and turned upside down
And her heart burst with pain
Everything she believed in she could no longer contain
Her world crashed
It was all gone
All her love
Her cheated heart burned
Her cheated heart
Her cheated heart burned

Break

Mary did never believe in true love again
She never did trust no other man
She never depended
She never consented
To trust love again
she'd rather be alone
And let her heart burn
Let her cheated heart
Her cheated heart burn

the music defies the lyrics for me... the song sounds happy but the lyrics don't..
I love the tune... the guitars and the vocals... are super.

Excellent Trevor, it is a sad tale but very well told. Almost Dylanesque. Super work on everything but I love that rhythm playing, hypnotic and on the money.

Congrats on the 7000 posts! Again great sound and strumming on the acoustic. A cool Dylan delivery in parts with the vocal. You have found a great groove in the last few songs with just your acoustic and vocal...keep riding that wave as long as it's rolling in Trevor!

Hey... You're doing work in your musical garden. There are all kinds of flowers growing in there. Some of them have spikes and have darker petals.
This one has softer petals and is already blooming. The lyrics take it deeper.

As others have said a Dylan-esque kinda presentation except he couldn't sing like that. Great lyrics - in fact another great song, Trev. I dunno how you manage to keep turning out these songs so regularly. Excellent stuff.
