I didn't think that such a (seemingly) simple piece (two Em Am chords) would give me so much trouble.
Eric Satie is a great French composer born on May 17 , 1866 in Honfleur and died on July 1, 1925 in Paris , is a French composer and pianist.
At one time associated with symbolism, but unclassifiable, he was recognized as a precursor of several movements, including neoclassicism, surrealism, minimalism, repetitive music and the theater of the absurde

This Gnosian piece, No. 1, is a great standard for piano and classical guitar.
I recently heard a version played by Thibault Cauvin (a great French classical guitarist) and Mathieu Chedid alias "M" a French singer-guitarist pop/rock.

I found the blend of pop and classical cultures interesting.

Now, this isn't exactly SC's style :) , but it takes all kinds to make a musical world.

Thanks   guys for the listening

Beautifully played, JP and I like the spacious mix. I do not know a lot of Satie's work in fact only his Gymnopédie No.1 which I assume is his most famous composition. I also like the French Impressionists such as Debussy and Ravel whose music seems to come from another world.

my kind of artist this person is... theatre of the absurd!  yeah... I think I am in that one too... lol..

but this doesn't sound absurd to me
 it is lovely playing... lovely

mon genre d'artiste, cette personne est... le théâtre de l'absurde !  ouais... je pense que je suis dans celui-là aussi... mdr..

mais cela ne me semble pas absurde
 c'est agréable de jouer... adorable

This is for sure SC stuff :) You're doing good JP! It's harder than it sounds.

I'm actually familiar with this one. It's been used in many movies and tv-series and the version i'm most familiar is this:

The Violent Cop movie is actually worth seeing too :) The main theme for the movie is also memorable.

I do have an electric bass and guitar, i do have an acoustic guitar. I even have a keyboard and a Roland drum set What I seem to miss is skills. So to cure my at least 40y frustration I dicovered my instrument being my voice. So I finaly had the nerve to take singing lessons and make my voice heared thanks to Songcrafters.

Excellent JP, I love this piece. Like the electric and acoustic guitar additions. Very interesting.
