so I am reading this and I start thinking "well, you think you know a bit about someone, you know someone and boom."  lol

I was also thinking yeah, there are a few songs in this story...
and you devil you are clever and fun and one of the reasons I love reading your comments and writings...
when you started describing the intricacies of the 3 somes and what not I am going "wth" meaning I got no idea, or almost no idea what you are talking about...

then I am thinking my god is he describing my wife and I (looks in mirror)... not really exactly but sometimes I get bored... we been married 23 years and I am faithful but (is this confession time?) my mind can wander into certain territories that would be destructive and when mind wanders so can behavior)... reign it in family man... reign it in...

which is probably why sometimes, probably too much I include "sexual" themes in songs... I should get that checked as you say sometimes.

then its about guitars...lol... I often thought I would never need or want another guitar beside my Epi Sunburst Paul... but that was not true... the last year I often thought I didn't like my Epi Les Paul anymore but that was not true either.

what I started to realize (green man that I am. in many ways a beginner) is that certain guitars are good for certain things... they are all different and better for certain things... and likely another guitar player might use them very different.

I think now I have 11 guitars, including 1 bass... and I like them all... for different reasons... and I enjoy playing them all, but usually it is like one or two a month and then switch to something else and fi nd stuff to play that I like with it...and then there is the effects or the whatever I plug into factor as well... and that can quite infinite.. I never will have a "tone" or a "sound" because I don't really approach playing like that...

I pull up something, usually some preset (I do edit now some) and dig around on the guitar until I find something that I think is cool and will entertain me for a while to play and then when I can do some  riff or somethng I record it... usually to a metronome... and that starts a chain reaction of "ahem"... song writing... if you could call it that...lol

flyng by the seat of my pants which is how most of my life is approached... while wonderfully creative and unpredictable it can be  a bit of a rollercoaster...
turns out some dogs don't want to learn tricks..lol..

I do learn though from every single person who posts on here that I have taken the time to read through their stuff... it has been beneficial and often it takes me a very long time to process ideas and concepts... until I reach the aha moments... and then I can use that whenever I want because it isn't just fiddling.. it's understanding...
anyway... I am the kind of guy to burn down the kingdom to save my throne... whatever that means...

rock the fuck on men... or play country or jazz or whatever... less is more... more is less... and Les More was an actual person

If you happen to be on the Instacram, you might enjoy Chae Choi | Guitarist • Guitar Tech • Guitar Teacher – and he's in my old stomping grounds of Phoenix, Arizona.

He's funny, and very focused on Jazzmasters. I've learned more about Jazzmasters from his silly videos than I ever meant to learn. Before the algorithm started force-feeding me Chae Choi, all I knew about a Jazzmaster is that it is what Elvis Costello plays.
