This one is something a bit different! I was messing around with my little Yamaha keyboard and stumbled upon a cool ambient sound on the Rhodes setting. I recorded a short two chord progression and built up from there on GarageBand. I sort of had an idea like this was the soundtrack to a video game (the music of Minecraft in particular). Anyways, this didn't take too long to make but it was fun to put together. Enjoy...

StephenM

so cool... reminds me of hints of Steve Miller on some of his album stuff that I always liked.

glad to hear you "playing around" with the keys and other things... and actually this totally works as an instrumental but you could always expand it and put in a vocal too...

this is so dreamy!  no boundaries... no rules.. just do what moves you.. that is how real music works!

Dreamy, floaty. Airy in a way that it makes my head spin. I like the way you're injecting the more modern sounds into the mix. At first it sounds like the listener has it all figured out from the get go, but then it raises it up a notch.

"Floating" describes this music perfectly, Keith. I like that you took a couple of cool sounding piano chords and created a entire song from them. Very nicely done.

Short and sweet, and it's got a really chill vibe to it. A great listen, too. Those Reface keys are really fabtastic - have you found the hidden piano sound on the CP?

Nice ambient track, Keith and that keyboard texture is cool and floaty. Nice melodic themes in there too.

Yep, I have! It's kind of tough to get to it at first (the knob clicks into place on the settings so you gotta get it just right) but it's a nice plain piano sound as well. I wish it were more easily accessible but I'm glad that its also included. Will definitely be using it on some coming songs.

Lovely instrumental, too good for a computer game, this I could hear in a tv show or film soundtrack.
I love the floaty, dreamy vibe. Nice drums too.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.
