iPhone / Safari - downloading all your MP3s

I have an iPhone which as some of you will know uses Safari as its intaRwebz browser.

When I tried downloading one of the colabs directly from this site to my iPhone, Safari told me I couldn't.  Any ideas/tips/advice or am I doomed to having to a life of frustration of no direct downloading to my iPhone AND no 3/4 time drum patterns on my MBR ?

maybe some kind of mp3 incompatibility
does the iphone have to be any certain bit rate or such?

I don't think it is mp3 incompatability as the iPhone is, afterall, just an iPod with a phone and browser attached.  I can sync iTunes from my PC I just can't download tunes on the run ... which is annoying.
