I wrote this for the driving fest , before I realised the driving fest is for cover songs. What a silly Billy.

It is what it is.
I'm driving in a trance
The wheels keep turning there's no sound
Weightless
leaving Town
The moon it fills the sky
Looking down on me
Driving through the night
To who knows where
I'm gonna atop at the next fuel satation
I'm gonna stop if I can make it
I'm gonna stop cos I know I really have to now
Lost in my thoughts
The road goes on and on
Time loops around me
And through the cracks
There's no end in sight
No aim or destination
Just keep on moving
For the sake of going
The wind whispers by
Snatches of conversation
Eyes on the rear view
But there's no return
The air tastes like diesel
Hands wet with sweat
Gripped on the steering wheel
Looking straight ahead
I'm Gonna Stop

You really should't drink and drive Jim
great track shame about the confusion

You should have put a name of a city in the lyrics then you could have had a City Fest song.

Nice song, makes me think back to some of the long drives I had to make when I was working

I did the same and once i saw that you posted this on the fest i almost became the "snarky Marky", but i didn't feel like reporting about your bad behaviour to you. I thought you'd punish yourself accordingly...

That's actually a great idea. Also... I noticed that Pete didn't want to stay a pirate! :D

Getting back to the song. I think OldR is actually quite accomplished songwriter. He has his own sound and vibe. He likes to downplay his talent, but the man knows his stuff.

a gentle and subtle musical style which really works well with the theme of the tune with the lyrics and vibe/feel,
really liked tyhe subtle style of this and the lyrics. it  has a natural feel which really appeals, good vocal performance too, could imagine this playing in a dark indie movie as soemone is driving in the dark after something has happened

You captured the late night driving vibe. Cool tune.
