Wraiths of steam from my tub
Rise to the ceiling with my thoughts of you
You left behind some makeup crap in my bathroom
Chuck it out is what I ought to do.

No thespian am I
But I always acted with the best intent
Tried to go with the flow as well you know
And respect your theological bent.

Saturday afternoon but it feels like Monday morning.

Everybody's life sometimes
Can just get too intense
We all fight a different private war
From our own different private trench
Your words one minute as hard as stone
Then next minute petal-soft
Above you now the spangling stars of The Plough
Above me The Southern Cross.

Saturday afternoon but it feels like Monday morning.

Now you run to your friends;
The poster girl of the down-trod martyr
Enough crocodile tears shed
To irrigate the whole damn Sahara.

I'm in no state of mind to review this song at the moment, but i have to say that my tired eyes zoomed into the lyrics and caught this line of poetry:

"You left a crap in my bathroom"

Turns out i was missing a word (as a screw), or two.

Evocative sound. Poetic lyrics. Especially the ones you've written. Not the ones i saw.

An excellent song, recording and production! Some real fine vocals and lyric Ray. The acoustic guitars sound great but the mid section acoustic finger picking/solo is the icing on the cake for me...nice!
