Hey, bud!!

I'm bad with explanations, hopefully this helps(And forgive me if I am telling you something you already know):

Once you have bounced, you have to select the v tracks that you have bounced to:

While in the main screen(Displaying time, tempo, etc) press any TR button and use the right cursor button to scroll to the area that displays "VTrack". There will be four V's listed and then select the third and fourth one to display V4, where you bounced to.

Once you have selected your bounced tracks, you will need to set the levels (100 is usually best to start) and pan L50 and R50. Turn the reverb off, too.

Hope this gets you started..

Mark

P.S.

Make sure you turn down the levels of the first two tracks or you may hear bleedover from the tracks you were bouncing!!

I'm probably not explaining myself properly here , after recording 4 track's i've pressed exit and utility together for bounce , which comes up , then it tells you where the destination is , i put 34V4 , but then if you turn off the original 4 tracks i only get two of my original 4 track's

So you are saying that after you have record the bounce, once you have selected the V tracks to play TR34V4, you only hear two of the original tracks within the two bounced tracks?

If that is the case, you may have to try rebouncing.

When you select Bouncing or mastering it automatically takes the 4 tracks as input.  Whatever v tracks you have selected on the 4 TRacks (TR1, 2, 3, 4) will get bounced.  So if you are sitting on TR1v1, TR2v1, TR3v1, TR4v1 (the first v track in each) this is what will get bounced to wherever you tell the bounce destination to go to.  Then you have to change the v tracks up to the new spot to hear the results of the bounce.  If you only want to bounce 3 tracks, the forth one has to either have its volume turned down or select an empty v track on that TRack.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

BB is right, couldn't have said it better - the bouncing method for the MBR is realtime, so you have to actually record what you are bouncing into TRV34(In your case). Anything that is audible will bounce.

To find out which four v-tracks are currently selected, press any track button [TR1]-[TR4], then press the cursor right button multiple times until you get past the Track Level, Track Pan, and Track Reverb screens and come to the VTrack screen which looks something like this:

VTrack ■□□□□□□□ <
  V1  V1  V1  V1

To hear the result of your bounce (on Tr34v4), you need to change tracks 3 and 4 to v4 and tracks 1 and 2 to any empty v-tracks (v2, I assume):

VTrack ■□□□□□□□ <
  V2  V2  V4  V4

Then zero the counter and press Play. Bring up the track levels on tracks 3 and 4. If you don't hear a mix of all 4 of your original (pre-bounce) tracks, then you either had the wrong v-tracks selected when you bounced, or you had the track levels down. If you bounced correctly, tracks 3 and 4 should have a stereo mix of your first 4 tracks and tracks 1 and 2 should be empty. So, you shouldn't hear anything from tracks 1 and 2. The idea is to monitor the stereo mix from 3 and 4 while recording something new on tracks 1 and 2.

I think i may have a red face here because , i did'nt check to see what track's were going to bounce  i just presumed i'd only done one take on each track , but i had deleted a couple of vtracks , so i suppose a couple of v1's had nothing on them hence only getting two tracks bounced---uh am i an idiot----thanks everyone hopefully now it's sunk in
