Hi there

It took me 3 months to learn the strumming guitar by studying not more than 5 min a day.
I synchronized with a midi file I can't play with a pick so the strumming and finger picking is without one.
During the process it came to my mind that I could ask my sister to play the flute for the wonderful bridge in this song so she made that happen.
The only thing I left in from the midi is the baseline.
For me this was a big thing to produce in audacity and I finish with James's his words "It is what it is".

I do have an electric bass and guitar, i do have an acoustic guitar. I even have a keyboard and a Roland drum set What I seem to miss is skills. So to cure my at least 40y frustration I dicovered my instrument being my voice. So I finaly had the nerve to take singing lessons and make my voice heared thanks to Songcrafters.

Congratulations on this fine production! Not an easy song to do. This is the largest project I've heard you tackle so far and it came out well. You sing all the parts well and the your sister's flute is right on the money!

first off... congratulations on the results of your hard work.  This shines!  It is fun to put so much into a song, and the song is worth it... a lovely track for sure.

guitar sounds great.  If I were going to mix this I would put the vocals down into the guitar a bit more...it is all so lovely.

so you can aske 20 people and they would all tell you a little different mix...

Really great!  Bravo for your first recording both playing guitar and singing!  You were patient to learn that guitar part and it is very nice.  Also good job on weaving the lead and backing vocals.  The flute was the icing on the cake!

3 months!...fomidable me, after 3 months, I was just playing the beginning of "Apache" on one string and with one finger! ;D ..it's true that I was 12, no teacher and no tuto on the internet

Good work Corné and congratulations to your sister for the flute chorus ..you should do a cover of "Night in white satin" with her (I've found the instrumental backtrack if you want it ;)

In any case, I'm waiting for you to do a cover of Almost Cut My Hair, one of my favorite David Crosby songs.

Nicely covered. A difficult song to reproduce.
