the opening piano is amazing John... sounds great and a very moving piece.  I like the stripped back nature of this... not so busy and it really works... gives alot more space for you vocals to work their magic... the bass starts to do its walking but it works fine here...

really nice piece.. I would say another favorite of yours for me.. memorable... very memorable

I agree with Stephen. That opening piano is glorious. I didn't feel that this is particularly cinematic, but perhaps i was expecting something else based on the description. The choruses have the kind of "soundtrack lift up" feel to them, but it's more of a proper album song that's been maybe used in a soundtrack rather than composed for one in mind.

The overall instrumentation is kept sparse and that helps to keep focus in the melodies and lyrics. The song is far from simple. There's so much happening and the listener is taken for a ride for sure. Perhaps those quirkier synth sounds had a touch of "soundtrack" vibe to them, but overall this is more of a proper song. I do enjoy soundtrack songs, but the ones that are composed to compliment the images are usually slightly "lesser songs" and this is certainly nothing like that.

Still i was hoping to see JohnBee making an appearance wearing a spandex superhero suit!

A cool song and certainly quality entertaiment!

Yes the opening piano is really cool, and I'm a bit of a fan of squelchy Moog lines too.  So - this is a cool song full of the usual JB trademark features.

Enjoyed this.

I do not use Studio One but I know it to be a powerful and first class DAW which I think is the one that Joe Gilder uses.

Very nice track, John and very well produced. Love those bass lines and the vocal melodies.

Have to say, this sounds like a slight departure in style for you John - and I am loving it. I can't really pinpoint why... are there less chords / key changes? (I could be very wrong) I am not sure, but whatever it's great.

Yeah love this direction.

Loving this one JB. You are top quality songwriter and this is right up there. love the piano intro. More trad than your usual stuff, but still in very much my ball ground ;-)

The intro piano is perfect John! The chorus really catches my ear...the vocal and melody are wonderful. They remind me of something that Brian Wilson would sing. A lovely bass throughout. Overall a very cool song!

catwalk is complicated, i use studio oen if need any help. This has a real alternative rock feel to it, your arrabgement is cool and has a lot to it, has that classic style of flot=yd and others, got the classic sound as well like this was made in the 70's. very inventive arrangement wise and  musically and good vocals
