I had alot of fun with this one... and I really enjoy mixing and production... that is as much fun as playing for me... I ended up mixing this on Audacity, Bandlab, Zoom, Audacity... mastered with Masterdesk True Peak

question.... does this need anything else?Livin_The_Dream does this need lead guitar.mp3

Frank Zappa is alive.

Livin the dream in LA.  5 hour drive on the freeway, each day.
I got my name in the queue hoping to be the next Tom Cruise.  And making big dough... making big dough.

Livin the dream, yeah...
Livin the dream, yeah...
Livin the dream, yeah... or the nightmare

Livin the dream in the NYC
Subway got hacked and I was late to work
10 bucks for a latte, sure seems cheap now a days.

Livin the dream, yeah...
Livin the dream, yeah...
Livin the dream, yeah... or the nightmare

Livin the dream here in London.
Traffic is really crawling
Everyone is so friendly
10 bucks for a latte, well, maybe 12

the voice effects are from bandlab which is free software and pretty easy to use.... if you are real techy Bandlab is not for you... but if you like presets and already built chains of sound effects you would like Bandlab... also you can build your own chain.  The Auto Tune stuff sounds cool enough... I just like playing with the stuff.  I also use Audacity and sometimes I use both... usually I like working with the music tracks more in Audacity and EQing the vocals there and then adding auto tune and effects to the vocals in Bandlab... which is what I did here...

From the mind of Steve living the dream really like this it could be back drop music on a la movie nicely loving the funky guitar

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

That riff is so cool, Stephen. Very well produced/arranged track with interesting lyrics. $10 for a latte? I think it's about half that here in Sydney.

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

That's an excellent song Steve and I love the style. Great music.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

I know it's been said already but yes this would be a great soundtrack to a film. Love the guitar, it's got that early 70's funky vibe. Cool track !

I'm thinking an episode of the Sopranos.  Really cool piece, Stephen.   Funky as a funky thing.

Frank Zappa is very much alive in this track.

SUPERB!! Love the flow of the verses and they way they are delivered amongst the free form of the music. A masterpiece of production.
