Kenny and myself have started working on another concept album called "The Sword of Light"
This is song #6 called 'Only Time Will Tell' ..

Here's the song description:
The crew soon found the cave that hosted the evil wizard Zookon Si and headed in,
straight into a trap.
Hiding In the shadow were his small army of demonic soldiers and they struck with unrelenting force.
The crew never stood a chance and within ten minutes it was over.
Young scoot stood in the bushes and watched in horror.
What now he thought?
It was now up to him to save the day.

I feel so lost
so confused
A broken man
Trying to get back up
Now it's time
I stepped up
The hours fly fast
I need a brand-new plan.

Chorus
Only time will tell
If there's a future
Only time will tell
If there a light
Shining out some  new hope

I feel suddenly
A change
All my fears are gone
It feels so good
But strange
There must be a guiding light
Shining down
My plans all arrange

Chorus
Only time will tell
If there's a future
Only time will tell
If there a light
Shining out some new hope

It suddenly becomes so clear
My purpose finally lands
And all around
No one knows My destiny
I realize
The world is in my hands.

Chorus
Only time will tell
If there's a future
Only time will tell
If there a light
Shining out some  new hope

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Love this.. really feel the emotion here..i believe the story.
The piano offers a hope but the song is haunting.  The lead guitar is fab..
The mix is sparse but lacks absolutely nothing and this gives the necessary room for Kennys amazing vocal work.
The song really builds...
Wonderful work all around

Excellent production and great vocal work. Lead guitar work is stunning and overall concept of the song is fantastic. Only thing is do you reckon it ends a bit suddenly?

Think its the player Ray ,it ends with the lone keyboard at 3.50...or is that what you mean?
When I listened on my ipad it finishes earlier.

Yeah, I think it is the player, Kenny or perhaps my computer browser; everything stops at around 3.45.

a very nice dark and sad song, i like the piano and lead guitar, vocals are excellent, the strings have a very soundtrack movie feel to them which really suits the concept of your song, reaslly nice work,
The track ended on the piano for me, about 3.47 it doesn't resolve the note but maybe that is the idea

Yeh it is indeed  there will be a narrative that comes in at the start and the end of these songs on completion as well.

Thanks for the song description and lyrics! That really helps to understand the song better. A great consept for an album and this song fits perfectly with the info. Excellent piano, vocal, guitar and production. After a couple of false starts from the player, the song played through to the end at 3:47. Well done gentlemen!
