Cheers,

Nigel

A 600 is smaller in than you think in size and operates very much like a MBR
once you start using faders, theres no looking back

I have been tempted, but can you pick it up and sing into it? One of the thinsg I love about the MBR is I can take it anywhere and record good quality vox. Also, I can take it on a plane and mix things. The BR600 just isn't that portable. Altho it's a faff to do mixing, I love the fact that recording anything is so easy. No mp3 on other BRs is a big drawback for me as well.

I have a Zoom 14 track recorder (faders and all) and never got on with it. The MBR has just spurred me to do things I have never been able to achieve at home before.

Cheers,

Nigel

If I had gone last year  I could have met George Fullerton :(

No way I'm gonna make it there though :(

Summer NAMM was in Nashville, Tennessee July 17-19. Winter NAMM will be at the Anaheim Convention Center, 800 West Katella Avenue, January 14-17, 2010.

The September 1 Roland product release will not be an actual show that you can attend. Rather, it's just a web event where Roland will announce the new product line at:

http://www.rolandconnect.com/

Just check the site on Sept 1 to see what new products are released.

Cool, I think its time for some upgrades to the MBR, I wonder how well they are selling?

In the scheme of things, I wonder if they consider the MBR a sucess.

The Roland UK website has the following about Roland Connect 2009:

On September 1, 2009, Roland will launch a new and innovative lineup of musical products via a unique web exhibition called Roland Connect 2009.

The virtual event will debut some exciting new products — from a professional stage instrument to desktop home-studio gear — covering a wide range of musical genres and product categories.

The site will be officially opened to the public on September 1, 2009.

Sounds like they could be planning to announce some new recorders, assuming that's what they mean by "desktop home-studio gear".

Whatever it is, I hope it isn't something I want. My wife is already a bit perturbed that I am saving for a PRS CE 24 that's gonna cost 2 grand. :/
