This is from 1974 from my idols Mott the hoople.
Ian hunter to me is one of the best songwriters to come out the UK.
I asked Ella if she would do the backing vocals with me and with the help of the mighty kari they did just that.
I love the middle section.
As always I'm overwhelmed by the help they give me.
All done apart from drums on my gr55 and Michael kelly.
Hope you like it.

so I only had 1 Mott the Hoople album and it was "All The Young Dudes" and I really liked it and also had it on cassette tape and wore that thing out on road trips.

However imo I prefer your music to theirs if it means anything to you to know that.

Ian Hunter was cool though...or at least I thought so..

I don't think I remember this song but man you smoked it... nice collab all!  love it...

Great recording Kenny! Great lead/backing vocals and the guitar sound is lovely. Excellent cover!

I don't know this Mott The Hoople song but I agree with you on Ian Hunter being a great songwriter. The song sounds great and all the vocals are top notch with some real cool guitar playing Kenny! Getting Ella to sing some back up had to be a treat for you. Nice collab, everyone!

A cracking cover/collab throughly enjoyed took me back to being a youngster my sister was a big fan of Mott the hoople and I became one vicariously through listening to her playing her records in her bedroom which was next to mine... with father shouting from down stars "turn that racket down" thanks for the memory 😂and a great cover
