The Gods of Guilt by Michael Connelly - another in the Mickey Haller series of books set in & around the legal system in LA. Nothing earth-shattering, but a well crafted, tightly plotted crime novel.

i can hardly read this book for tears of laughter, never known a book to make me laugh out loud like this does.

Malcolm X's autobiography he was quite a lad before cleaning up in prison and finding the teachings of Mr Elijah.....

This is the 2nd historical novel that I've begun by 1980s anarchic-gobsh*te Ben Elton, and I have to say that Benji is turning into a first-class writer - (The other novel by Ben is 'The First Casualty' - which I thoroughly recommend).
I'm only a third of the way into this latest one and it's quite delicious - an extremely well thought-out time-travel lark. Way to go Ben.

Finished this book some while ago now, and I'd recommend it as a deffo read.
In fact it's placed on my read-again-sometime shelf.

I'm currently dipping my toe into this little exotic number.
Given that most members of Songcrafters etc will have listened to music too loud and too often for their own good,
this book is a quite sobering tale of what it's like to become hard-of-hearing.
Embarrassment, humiliation, confusion...and I'm still on page 1!!
