A really basic question

I recorded my guitar on track 1, then recorded my singing on track 2. I played it back and so had guitar backing with singing over it. How do I get to play back just my guitar. I can't seem to find any way to play back just track one. Can anyone help me please?

While listening you should be able to click on that track, and then lower the volume of that individual track so it cant be heard.

Sorry to be so stupid, but when I play it back the little No 2 along the bottom flashes and I can't find any way to select track 1. I press the button saying TR1 but the No 2 still flashes. How do I navigate to Track 1 please?

HWG - Sorry but I don't have the Micro-BR and so I can't help you. A question though, do you have a supplied User's Manual with the product? These basics should be fully covered in that?

In the mean time, you may want to have a look at these. Good luck, and DON'T get discouraged, we've ALL been there!!

Hi, I've studied the manual for hours, I'm one of those people who love manuals, but I can't find anywhere in the manual that explains this. Anyone out there with the micro that can help me please?

AndyR

Not got my micro with me, but I do have a copy of the manual on my work PC.

Go to page 33, Playing Back, Adjusting the volume of a track, follow those four steps to the letter and you should be able turn down the track you don't want to hear...

However, there's a better way to do what you want, switch to an empty v-track on the track you want to "mute" - this lets you leave the track level as it is.

For this, go to page 40, switching V-tracks. Follow the steps to the letter.
For example, you probably recorded vocal on V1 of Track 1. Change it to V2. When you play back, you'r listening to the empty Track 1 V2, and Track 2 V1 where your guitar is.

Hope that helps :)

I would dispense with the manual altogether. I did my first recording just by following the step-by-step tutorials on here. In fact, I haven't looked at the manual since. Give it a try!
