2 chorder

I strummed this thing on just 2 chords. E and something like a mix of a D and a C chord or or could be a mix of a D and a G chord I'm not sure.

Yet another one about trying to get the "2 sides" in today's polarised world to pull together somehow.

1 vocal
1 rhythm guitar
1 synth guitar (Boss SY 200)
1 garageband synth
bass - Harley benton
lead - electric guitar through Boss SY 200 with more effects added in Garageband
drums garageband

Vid might follow

It's just a lack of understanding
There's not much difference in us all
But if you're willing
Yeah if you're willing
Things could change

Don't need no fancy words to tell you
These simple chords are all I need
We gotta find
We gotta find
A different way

We all want
We all want the same thing

--------

break

--------

We gotta change this situation
The way it is just can't go on
But it's gonna take
It's gonna take
Co-operation

We all want
We all want the same thing

We all want
We all want the same thing

We all want
We all want the same thing

Fine song Mike.  Sounds like a Cadd9 to me.  LOve the way the vocal carries and defines the chorus section.

Great vocal.  Really cool.

Great song Mike! I didn't realize this was for 2 chord fest, the song really holds up on its own. Killer solo in the middle and those hard hitting drum fills really hit the spot! Great lyrics here too

Mike,
I have listened to everything you have done the last 4 years and also going back before quite a bit..
imo... this is one of your best.. and that is a high mark.

first off... I really like your bass playing and sound... it is excellent.. not too flashy but it really carries that bottom with the drums... you know what you are doing already with that... and you haven't had one that long so bravo on the bass.

as I have said before you have your very own style... at times it includes some influences but this is very original.
I really like the guitars and that synth...
this song has alot of shine..

vocally so great.. I love your singing.  but that lead guitar is brilliant for me...

and lyrically strong too.

way to go man!

I agree with Stephen on this song - one of your best, Mike. It's got a cool groove with great lyrics and great guitar work. Your vocal shines on this one and presents that message of the song perfectly.

Another cool two-chorder - great guitar and vocals, and that icy pad in the background is a really nice touch (getting a bit of a Gary Numan vibe from that).

Well done, Mike!

Like so many good songs, it's the vocal delivery and lyrics that make the song. Like the guitar lead. Cool job here Mike.

Great song! I got a strong indie pop vibe from the late 80's. Perhaps a ghost of The Smiths...

Everything works fine on this!

The world looks like a better place after hearing a song like this.

You sure got a lot of mileage with such "simple chords". The vocals and lyrics are the star... Until that melodic guitar solo appears. It's floaty and dreamy in the best possible way.

Make sure you put this on your album.  I'm hearing some tasty bass in there but I think you need to boost it a bit.  Of course it might be my crappy ear buds that are cutting it down for me.
