i love this site i think it is great and wonderful for hearing new music. i joined a few years ago at the suggestion of my uncle ray (ray brookes) and i enjoy interacting with the site. i maybe don't post as much music as i could and when i do i usually get unc to help. my family and i visit my aunt and uncle quite often and so i get to use his gear as i am doing now writing this on his computer.

i think i am right when i say that most members here are of mature age like my uncle and nobody here has any aspirations to be famous or anything like that. so, it came as some surprise the other day when i noticed one of the 'mature' members had a bit of a tantrum. in fact i nearly wet myself laughing and thought i would need an ambulance. not really something i would expect from a person of senior years (i am not going to say the person's name) but it sounded like he spat out his dummy/pacifier. also sounded like he has decided to quit the site which is a shame as his music is quite good. maybe he just needs a little pat on the bottom and a cuddle. i know my uncle likes this guy's music so i hope he returns.

Yeah interesting stuff. I don't really know what has occured.

All I know is from my point of view, I try to tread as carefully as i can in online interactions. There are so many ways somebody can misconstrue what another has posted. My take for what it's worth is to always give somebody the benefit of the doubt, more especially as it's a limited way to communicate at the best of times, although it can bring so much good things too.

I hope whatever it is has a happy ending at least :)

well, I know what you mean and what this is about...

the site is better with active members... people get offended by this or that... I have read alot of old comments from people who used to be on the site.. people got into arguments and the like...

I had some problems myself here, in general dealing with festival rules... I however do try and live at peace with all people as far as possible so I made some adjustments for my own sanity...

it is a bit hard to offend me... I was hardened being a sailor for so many years... you have to build up calloses... if not you will bleed always..

this site does mean alot to me.. I have made a few dear friends and I like the music alot.. the interaction with some of the folks... and I like to share my music here as well..

there is alot of talent here and I have learned alot about recording and mixing... folks who shared things, probably don't even know it..
plus the encouragement to keep going ... that is huge...

folks leave and sometimes come back... some don't though... I am coming up on 4 years in August... its been great.
