I was working on some airy fairy nonsense (hopefully get that recorded soon) when the guid Blooby sent me a couple of tunes to collaborate on. Of the two he sent i thought i could discretely slip into this one. I think the track was called Recluse. So that sort of informed the lyric. The vocal is well out of my comfort soon, but hey it was fun. I also slipped in some soft synths, Obrigado Blooby.
All on my own
All on my own
All on my own
All on my own
There's a lot of fish in the sea
But I'm all on my own
They say that no man's an island
But I'm all on my own
I really need some company
But I'm all on my own
I can't do this anymore
All on my own
Burned too many bridges
Broke every heart
Cursed everything I touched see
Ain't no going back
Talk to myself these days
Cos I'm all on my own
Ain't nobody there for me
Cos I'm all on my own
Burned too many bridges
Broke every heart
Cursed everything I touched see
Ain't no going back
Guitar break
All on my own x4
Talk to myself these days
Cos I'm all on my own
Ain't nobody there for me
Cos I'm all on my own
Burned too many bridges
Broke every heart
Cursed everything I touched see
Ain't no going back
All on my own etc

Damn, thank you, brother.

I searched my computer for the original file, and it was dated October 7, 2021. I really appreciate you dusting it off and bringing it to life.

Very cool.

Great collab.  It should've been brought out sooner.

Oh that was a nice surprise.

Nice vocals (as usual) James.

And the music just flows along so nicely, like a perfect quiet, but deep river.

And that solo is just perfect; melodic and with some nicely placed fast runs to make it more interesting

So the masters of music are now collaborating? This calls for a nitpicky approach. If this isn't doubly good it must be considered as a failure.

OldR is handling the vocals duties like the pro he is (he's also master of understatement so he'll probably approach this notion the way a grumpy man would!).

Bloody is no stranger to guitars. I fear he might eventually become one. There's light and shade and there's dynamics galore in the soloing. At first the solo feels like it might be taking the Gilmour way of things, but it doesn't take many seconds for Bloody to start showcasing his chops. Is it a bad thing? I think not.

So i guess you just about managed to reach the doubly good status. Great one guys!

Frigging wicked track James! Bloody's instrumental is so slinky and cool. Your vocal over top is a knock out. Wicked job guys!

Brilliant collab guys! Amazing guitar work and James did fine job with vox/lyrics..."on my own", catcy line and I think I sing it the rest of the day!
