Captivating right from the start with those tribal sounding drums and when the vocal enters - WOW! Absolutely excellent track - fantastic production/writing and astonishing vocal performance. Great collab from you guys.

When the drums kicked off I looked around to see if the Indians were on the warpath, lol. Great vocals John with the chorus being a real highlight. Cool guitar work, Blooby!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

Catchy chorus got a great 60's vibe ....those drums at the intro really drew me in .......an excellent collaboration

The roomy drums at the start grabbed me and I continued to be grabbed throughout.  Such a hooky chorus!

Brilliant.

Greeny

Lovely sense of menace on those drums and dirty / spanky rhythm guitar. A very garage band pyschedelic 1968 feel overall, then those soaring, hooky choruses. What a beauty.

I thank you all for the comments. Here are the lyrics:

I found a box of things I'd left behind
Like memories I'd let fall from my mind
Fancies written, mementos thought lost
But one item left me tousled and tossed

I'm staring at a photograph of you
Image faded but you're still shining through
Long dead notions surging back to life
Awakened feelings that should never be revived

A thousand words cannot convey emotions
That one old picture has set in motion
I sit transfixed as time ceases to be
Awash in memories of you and me

I'm staring at a photograph of you
Image faded but you're still shining through
Long dead notions surging back to life
Awakened feelings that should never be revived

So much promised, so much lost
So much risked no matter the cost
They all thought we were sure to stay together
But what makes the bird lies deeper than the feather

Should I return the picture to the box
To lie in wait until the lid comes off
Or cast this tainted relic to the wind
And let a breath expel the truth within

I'm staring at a photograph of you
Image faded but you're still shining through
Long dead notions surging back to life
Awakened feelings that should never be revived

wowsers... or is it wowzers!  This is as out there as some of my tunes... but then again, you guys do some crazy stuff from time to time... and I dig them all.

this one is different within the song itself... bonkers from the start but that chorus brings this back into a commercially wonderful great song... the chorus alone could win converts by the millions... and all the while they would not know they were being groomed for the craziness that exists within your tunes... not all of them... but some of them.

the bass is somewhat, or very prog, the drums are primal.  The guitar is sort of like 60's pop but then goes into Randy Bachman territory which I love to the moon and back.
Lurker did amazing things vocally that fit the vibe of the music so well.  I doubt even the Red Hot Chillis could get this level of great weirdness... a masterpiece imo!
