A rant song that I wrote and recorded some time ago. Was never happy with the original bridge and outro - so, I have re recorded and mixed and now it will go on my next album, which I am close to finishing.

I DON'T READ THE BLOODY PAPERS

Everyone's an expert
Always bleedin' right
Every conversation
Ends up in a fight
The leader of the opposition,is such a soddin' curse
The trouble is the government is even bloody worse

I don't want your gossip
I've heard it all before
I don't read the bloody
Papers anymore
NO!

I've become a hermit
Well, that's OK with me
I can watch the world burn
While drinking a cup of tea
Everyone has opinions
Especially the upper class
But you can take your viewpoints and shove 'em up your arse!

I don't want your gossip
I've heard it all before
I don't read the bloody
Papers anymore
NO!

Information highway
Ha! We've all seen it, of course
All that information
But a lot of it is false!

Now you may be a sexist
Or you could be just woke
But everyone's forgotten
How to take a bleedin' joke
Life is hard and life is short
And then you wave goodbye
And don't think that you're special, mate
We're all gonna die

I don't need your hearsay
You're becoming such a bore
I won't take your bullshit
No, not anymore
I don't want your gossip
I've heard it all before
I don't read the bloody
Papers anymore
NO!

A great rant Ron. The spoken verses followed by the melodic choruses works well. A good listen with excellent backing guitars. I'm glad you pulled it out of the dust bin!

Love the lyrics Ron and your accent.where is that from if you don't mind me asking?
Is it from London?
I do have an electric bass and guitar, i do have an acoustic guitar. I even have a keyboard and a Roland drum set What I seem to miss is skills. So to cure my at least 40y frustration I dicovered my instrument being my voice. So I finaly had the nerve to take singing lessons and make my voice heared thanks to Songcrafters.

Love this one, Ron. Fantastic rant in the style of Johnny Rotten and love that excellent groove right from the start. Lyrics are brilliant and in line with what a lot of us think these days.

Are we hearing the influence of the bow bells? :)

A cool and funky song with a message many of us can relate to.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away
